Wild weather

This last week has been crazy with multiple thunder storms every day. Flying over water with a student who is virtually blind is one thing, but add in the weather? Several times we had to dodge downpours on approach and while en-route to the airport. The student mentioned that he was scared on one of these occasions. He thought we were going to go down over the lake. I jumped on the controls and assured him that we were just fine. I love the rain, just not when I'm out flying.
